Importing Visual FoxPro Database Structure

Postby john w » 8 November 2012, 20:24

I have a legacy application. It used Visual FoxPro tables. I would like to start rebuilding the application in In.de. Before I go through the steps of importing it into SQL Server or Access, then using that with In.de, does someone have a better method of doing this?

Disregard --- I recreated the database in MS Access and SQLServer so have both choices available. On to the next step

VisualFoxPro Tables can be imported using ODBC (with the limitation that the Foreign Keys are not imported), but the best solution is using SqlServer and Access, because they are more advanced (ODBC doesn't support all SQL features).
