Add option to use VB syntax in code

Postby Corrado » 13 November 2013, 16:46

That would be very helpful for all the VB / VBA / VB.NET community.
Ability to use existing VB code with minimum changes, will bring more developers to IN.DE platform, and will allow to invest less time into learning.
Thank you!

If we speak about using VB code directly in the Visual Code Editor, actually a cut&paste like operation is not possible. Because In.de doesn't use text files but a graph of relationships between objects.

We choosed the current sintax because it's very similar to the one used by the 2 supported languages, C# and Java. We had once a VB6 template, but we abandoned it some years ago.

But if you want to use some VB.Net code there's something you can do: creating a dll. If you have a .dll inside your Bin folder you can use it from your .Net app.
