Adding rename and send commands to 16.0 SFTP class

Postby ljwilson » 23 May 2017, 19:10

I've been working with this today, and noticed a couple of things:

  1. There is no rename command
  2. The "send command" only works for ftp
I had a process where I wanted to rename the remote files. I didn't see a rename command, so I thought "oh, I can just send it a rename command". That is when I got the library message that send command was only available for ftp.

Other than that it is working great!

Thanks...jack

Unfortunately there is no "send generic command" over SSH for SFTP... I think that the SSH channel does not allow for that...

Anyway, I can add the rename file method... It's allowed either for FTP and for SFTP... So I've created a new ticket (NPQ03398) that allows me to keep track of this thread... When it'll be scheduled you'll see it in the Instant Developer Roadmap.

Thanks a lot! :-)))
