Instant Developer and Windows 11

Postby john w » 8 October 2021, 14:57

Every time Microsoft does a new release of the OS I get concerned. Will Instant Developer and any existing applications run on the new OS?

I thought I had read somewhere it was compatible, but then I could not seem to find where I read it.

Sadly my existing i7-7700 chip is too old for Win 11, so I had to order a new pc this morning. When it arrives I will have the pleasure of moving and reinstalling my software. Anyway that is what has led to asking the question.

I have a bunch of comments on the recent general direction MS has taken with their software in general, but I will keep them for myself. I don't wanna be banned.

I generally am okay with operating system updates. In my case, my existing pc met all the Windows 11 requirements except processor. I have an i7-7700 and needed an i7-7800. I could have opted for a manual install, but was told there are not any updates for the OS that way. Given system security needing patches and updates that seemed like a bad decision.

What concerns me is past experiences I have had with the new version of Windows not supporting a development tools I have used. It was those experiences that brought me to Instant Developer years ago.
